Property Details
Cozy dog friendly cabin features great open floor plan, granite, and slate counters, private hot tub, & large deck with BBQ. This home also includes an auto start generator that powers the whole house during a power outage, and air conditioning.
The Cedar Rim Chalet is a modern, cozy cabin, located on a quiet cul-de-sac close to Mt. Baker. It features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and has a great open floor plan for visiting and reconnecting with your loved ones. The home comfortably sleeps 8 people. The well-stocked kitchen has beautiful tile counters, and is equipped with everything you need to dine in and make your own meals. There are lots of spices and some condiments provided as well. If you prefer to eat out there are three local restaurants and a bakery just a minute away.
This home includes an auto start generator that powers the whole house during a power outage, and full house air conditioning with private separate controls in the living room and all three bedrooms.
Off of the living room there is a bedroom with a queen bed. Heading down the hallway you will find a full bathroom on the left, and a closet with a stack-able washer and dryer that you can use during your stay. Towards the back of the home you will find two more bedrooms. The bedroom on the right has a queen bed, and some toys to keep your kids busy. On the left side of the hallway is the master bedroom with a king sized bed, and another bathroom with a full sized stand up shower stall located privately off the master bedroom.
The home features an on demand hot water system so that you never run out of hot water when taking showers or baths back to back.
The cozy living room has plenty of seating, and the couch is a pull out sofa bed so you can sleep an additional 2 people there for a total of 8 in the home.
Outside you will find a deck with a BBQ for those beautiful summer nights, and a hot tub just a few steps away from the living room patio doors.
This Chalet is the perfect place to feel right at home, and reconnect with your loved ones while you enjoy all the adventure that the Mt. Baker wilderness has to offer!
There are some beautiful walking trails that meander along the river which you can access by just a 5 minutes’ walk away.

~We can not guarantee hot tub will be hot and ready the night of your arrival. It depends on how the previous guests treated it and if we have to drain it, but we will do our best to have it ready.
~ In winter Glacier can experience power outages at times due to mountain storms. This home is equipped with an auto start generator that should keep the whole house and hot tub running for at least up to 3 full days during an outage, however we cannot guarantee this service, or that the hot tub will be fully working and usable during an outage. We will do our best to keep it all running smoothly though as long as possible.

Cancellation Policy
No reservation is considered complete or secure until the rental agreement has been signed and returned to Serene Mountain Escapes.
The following refunds are permitted:
Cancellation Policy and Refunds The following refunds are permitted:
a. A thirty (30) day notice is required for all cancelations except for the following dates which require a ninety (90) day notice. Dates that require a 90 day notice are any bookings that include the following dates, holidays, or events- Mt. Baker's Banked Slalom weekend (Thursday-Monday, usually held in February), President's Day and weekend (Thursday - Monday, usually in February), June 30th - July 9th, Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving weekend (Wednesday - Monday surrounding Thanksgiving), & December 20th- January 5th.
Cancelations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the standard arrival date or more than ninety (90) days prior to the specific above mentioned dates will incur no penalty of rent fees except a $50.00 processing fee, and any incurred credit card or VRBO, Air BNB etc.. fees, all other monies will be returned.
b. Cancelations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within the 30 or 90 days of the above mentioned arrival dates forfeit 100% of the rental in full and deposit, plus all credit card fees, no refunds will be given within 30 days or above mentioned 90 days of check in date.
Guests agree that Serene Mountain Escapes and its affiliates have no
control over power outages, forest fires, or road closures. Therefor Guests agree to Hold Harmless Serene Mountain Escapes in these situations. No refunds will be given for power outages, ski area closures, road closures, smoke or anything else Manager has no control over such as these. Guest agrees that this rule particularly regarding power outages supersedes all other contracts, and agrees that NO refunds will be given for power outages even if other booking companies contracts claim they will.
Deposit Policy
A refundable damage deposit is required with every booking. The deposit amount is different for each home. The amount will be shown in the cost breakdown upon booking. This deposit shall be refunded within 14
business days of Checkout Date provided no deductions are made due to:
i. damage to the property or furnishings;
ii. dirt, stains, or other mess requiring excessive cleaning;
iii. theft from premises; (this includes welcome binders, and tip envelopes) or
iv. any other cost incurred by Us relating to the lease of the Property.
All fees pertaining to damage (s) and cleaning beyond reasonable use and wear will be the sole
responsibility of the Responsible Guest, regardless of the deposit amount. Damage, theft, or
cleaning in excess of the Damage Deposit will be charged at a rate of $50.00 per hour to the
credit card on file or billed directly to Responsible Guest. Damage includes but is not limited to
wine spills, damage to grounds by vehicles , damage to walls or furniture, damage to outside
furniture. Sorry, but pets are only allowed in some of our homes, please make sure to select an appropriate home if you plan to bring animals. Thanks!

"I Have Never Seen An Air Bnb Cover All The Bases So Thoroughly"
We have stayed at several AirBnB’s & this has been the best. Bring your person & a bit of food & everything else is covered, although there are excellent restaurants nearby. I have never seen an AirBnB cover all the bases so thoroughly. Granted you may never use half the stuff, but this is like moving into a fully furnished home with all the extras. If you forgot something likely you will find it here. The list would be ginormous if I were to enumerate all the extras. The real bonus are all the wild bunnies that you will encounter getting to & at this stupendous lodging location. The host is very responsive if you need anything. I can’t say enough good things about this fantastic AirBnB. We will definitely book again or their other accommodations (Serene Mountain Escapes) in the future. Save money by booking direct. It is tastefully decorated & appointed with great attention to detail. Don’t let the lock box steps deter you given this is located in a gated community simple to navigate.

Enjoyed our stay in Rheannon’s Cedar Rim Chalet it was very peaceful and the surrounding area of Mt Baker was incredibly beautiful. Everything was how it was described and the cabin was in a great location great morning light on deck as well as afternoon . Hot tub was clean and much enjoyed after hike up Mt Church . We even had a deer stop by in the garden ? Thank you for a great get away from the city .

Rheannon’s place is AMAZING. The entire place was in fantastic condition, in a quiet gated neighborhood. But what made it special was all of the thoughtful touches and amenities: a handwritten card from the host, extra towels for the hot tub, foot washing bin after some outdoor adventures, endless kitchen supplies, and the list goes on! Amazing long weekend away in the perfect house and location. Hands down the best hot tub of any house I've rented - the temp and jets were a nice way to end each evening. The house had all the perfect extra touches - from dog towels/bowls, to coffee/hot chocolate and a well stocked kitchen (it had everything we needed from a dutch oven to a crock pot). Lots of blankets to curl up and watch a movie and plenty of seating. Easy access to Mt. Baker for skiing. Clear instructions.

This house is perfect for a group. Big kitchen and dining table made for amazing meals together. Very convenient to get to Baker ski area, about 35 mins. The house also felt incredibly private. Definitely recommend!!

I had lived in Whatcom county for 14 years and some of these communities in East Whatcom county are a bit sketchy. I was nervous but the complex seemed very well run, clean, and safe. The rental was immaculate and exactly as advertised. The property manager, Rheannon, goes above and beyond to provide great service. She responds very quickly to questions and since she lived close by, she was over in a few minutes for a minor glitch (WiFi company glitch not the property). It was a quick trip to Mt Baker. It was nice not having to drive all the way back to Bellingham.”
