Every spring we head down to Silver Lake to check out the two beaver lodges and look for tadpoles. I did not see any tadpoles yesterday, but this lodge is looking good. We noticed one of the beaver dams has been opened back up, and while we didn’t see any actual beavers, there was evidence that they have been there recently. Maybe we’ll catch a glimpse of them next time. We did see Bald Eagles, and lots of Red Winged Blackbirds!
